Michael Anthony Spadywas born in New Rochelle, New York and began acting at the age of nine. Best known for his outstanding performance in the filmThe Hammer, opposite Russell Harvard and Shoshannah Stern, Spady is one of Hollywood’s most talented, motivated, determined and notable young Deaf actors working in film and television today.
Mike acted in my directorial debut, “Sympathy For Delicious”. I found him at The Stella Adler Academy in Los Angeles where he was a student at the time. He gave a beautiful performance in my movie and I found myself wanting to shoot more and more of him as I expanded each of his scenes.
I am really happy to see him making his way up in a very tough and competitive world. He is an inspiration to anyone that comes in contact with him. Not only is he a gifted actor but he also happens to be deaf. Check it out. http://thelsheriealert.com/golden/
ive been meaning to make work-related comics forever, so enjoy some choice movie title bastardizations.
(these all actually, seriously, happened, with no humor or awareness on the part of the customer at the time as far as I could tell. so, yes, someone actually asked for a ticket to “Detergent” with a straight face.)
